8 BUET students expelled permanently

The authorities of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) have permanently expelled eight students from the university.

BUET Director of Student Welfare Department (DSW) Prof Dr AKM Masud confirmed the matter on Tuesday.

In addition, the university authorities suspended 52 students for different terms and served show cause notices. 

Seat allocation for residential halls of seven students has been cancelled and 27 others have been warned.
