`Dhaka Central University` to be formed with 7-college

The Bangladesh University Grants Commission (UGC) has decided to rename seven government colleges in the capital as 'Dhaka Central University'.

UGC secretary Dr Fakhrul Islam revealed the information at Agargaon in the capital on Sunday (March 16).

He said that the name 'Dhaka Central University' has been finalized in a meeting with a 32-member delegation of students from seven colleges. It will now be sent to the Ministry of Education.

The seven colleges are Dhaka College, Eden Mohila College, Government Shaheed Suhrawardy College, Kabi Nazrul Government College, Begum Badrunnessa Government Girl's College, Government Bangla College, and Government Titumir College.
