Staff Correspondent: The government is going to recruit about 40,000 teachers to MPO-listed non-government schools, colleges and madrasas across the country.
The Teachers' Registration & Certification Authority (NTRCA) published a list of about 40,000 teachers for recruitment on its website on Thursday night.
NTRCA is now sending message to the selected teachers.
A total of 604,685 candidates received certificates from the NTRCA through 13 teachers’ registration certificate exams held between 2005 and 2016.
The recruitment process remained stalled for two years due to legal complexities, NTRCA sources said.
NTRCA collected a list of around 40,000 vacant posts from the MPO-listed non-government institutions till September 30 last year.
After removing the legal complexities, NTRCA in September last year took initiatives to recruit teachers to the MPO-listed institutions.
After finalising the list based on opinions from upazila secondary education offices, the NTRCA published a circular seeking applications from candidates who passed the teachers’ registration exams.
Around 25,79,179 candidates who earned registration certificates form the NTRCA applied for the vacant positions during a period from December 20 last year to January 2 this year.
