Five JU students expelled for mugging

JU Correspondent: The authority of Jahangirnagar University (JU) on Monday expelled five stundents including four activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) over beating and mugging an outsider at the campus.
A S M Firoz-ul-Hasan, acting proctor of the university, confirmed the matter.
The decision of expelling the five students temporarily was taken at the meeting of university discipline committee on Sunday, Firoz-ul-Alam said.
They are- Sanjay Ghosh of drama and dramatics, Mohammad Al Razi of government and politics, Raihan Patwary of geological sciences, Mokarram Shiblu of philosophy, and Shah Mostaq Shaikat of computer science.
Earlier on Saturday, Monir Hossain, son-in-law of Alamgir Hossain who is the driver of JU Pro VC Professor Nurul Alam, was beaten and mugged by some activists of JU BCL unit.
