KUET closed sine die

Authorities have declared Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) closed for an indefinite period following a clash between students of two dormitories over a football match.

KUET authorities issued a circular in this regard on Friday midnight.

KUET Registrar GM Shahidul Alam confirmed the matter.

Male students have been asked to leave the dormitories by 5.00pm on Saturday and female students by  10.00am on Sunday, he said.

Students of Amar Ekushey Hall and Fazlul Haque Hall locked into a clash on Friday night, leaving six students injured.

Meanwhile, KUET Public Relations Officer Monoj Kumar Majumder said the first year admission test will be held as per schedule on Saturday.
