South Point holds admission test for children despite corona

Though all the educational institutions in the country have been closed since March 18 due to coronavirus pandemic, South Point School and College, Malibag branch arranged admission test for children.
The admission was held for class-1 and class-2 from 10:00am to 11:00am on Saturday.
Principal of South Point School and College Hamida Ali said, ‘It was a mistake. Such an arrangement is unfortunate during this crisis moment. I havetalked to the head of that branch. He expressed regret. I also apologise to everyone for such a mistake.’
We could not reach vice-principal Shahnaz Begum of South Point School and College, Malibag branch as she could answer phone call.
Guardian said, ‘We brought our children to take part in the admission test thinking over their future.’
They, however, criticise for such arrangement during coronavirus pandemic.
South Point School and College has branches in Uttara, Banani, Mirpur, Malibag and Baridhara in the capital. Nearly 12,000 students are studying in all the branches.
