Dr Hasibur Rashid made Begum Rokeya University VC

The government has appointed Professor Dr Hasibur Rashid, a teacher of Management Information System Department of Dhaka University (DU), as Vice-Chancellor of Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR). He was the treasurer of the university.

The term of the current VC Nazmul Ahsan Kalimullah is coming to an end on June 13. However before ending his tenure, VC has been appointed to the university for years.

Education Ministry issued a circulation in this regard on Wednesday (June 09).

The circulation said as the Chief Executive Official of the university, VC will be on the university campus full time. The appointment will be effective from June 14 this month.

Dr Hasibur Rashid will take charge as the fifth VC of the university.
