Mahi won’t get nomination this year!

General Secretary of Bangabandhu Sangskritik Jote and Dhallywood actress Sharmin Akhter Nipa alias Mahiya Mahi will not get nomination this year for Chapainawabganj-2 constituency.

After the first meeting of Awami League’s (AL) Parliamentary Nomination Board, General Secretary Obaidul Quader said they had decided not to give nomination to any non-political person this year. 

The meeting has finalised candidates for 72 seats for the 12th national election slated for January 7 next. The final list will be published on November 25, he said.

Earlier on Monday, the actress submitted her nomination form seeking the Awami League ticket for Chapainawabganj-2 constituency.
