Shamita Shetty hospitalized

Shamita Shetty, a contestant on Bigg Boss 15, revealed on social media that she recently underwent surgery for endometriosis. 

Shamita shared a video on her Instagram handle and spoken about not knowing that she suffered from a disease called ‘Endometriosis’.

In the video shared from the hospital, she informed her friends and followers about the procedure. 

Shetty also highlighted the prevalence of endometriosis, stating that nearly 40% of women experience this condition.

Shamita captioned it, “Did you know that almost 40 % of women suffer from Endometriosis.. and most of us are unaware of this disease!!! I want to thank both my doctors , my gynac dr Neeta Warty and my Gp dr Sunita Banerjee for not stopping til they found out the root cause of my pain! Now that I’ve had this disease surgically removed I’m looking forward to good health n now more physically pain free days ! “

Endometriosis causes painful periods, pain during and after sex, infertility and fatigue, among other issues. 

On the work front, Shamita was last seen in the Hindi film ‘The Tenant’.
