Singer offers job to suspended constable who slapped Kangana

The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) constable involved in slapping newly-elected Mandi MP and actor Kangana Ranaut at Chandigarh airport has been booked for assault.

This comes a day after she faced suspension following the incident.

The constable in question, Kulwinder Kaur, was soon suspended following the incident that took place at the Chandigarh airport as Ranaut was on her way to board a flight to Delhi on Thursday.

A case has been filed against Kaur in connection with the incident. According to the Indian Express, an FIR had been registered under Sections 323 (assault) and 341 (wrongful restraint) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

The constable’s actions were reportedly triggered by an old statement made by Ranaut.

Meanwhile, music composer and singer Vishal Dadlani reacted to the incident by posting on his Instagram Stories. He expressed his understanding of Kaur's actions, despite not condoning violence.

Dadlani stated, "I do not ever support violence, but I absolutely understand the need of this @official_cisf personnel's anger. If any action is taken against her by the CISF, I will ensure that she has a job waiting for her should she choose to accept it. Jai Hind. Jai Jawaan. Jai Kisaan."
