Priyanka’s husband Nick ‘National Jiju’ of India

Hollywood singer-actor Nick Jonas has a special nickname in India and he talked about the same during his recent appearance on Jimmy Fallon’s ‘The Tonight Show’.

Nick responded to being called the ‘National Jiju’ in India as he is married to Bollywood superstar Priyanka Chopra. While speaking to Jimmy Fallon, Nick explained the origin of his nickname, ‘Jiju’.

During his conversation with Jimmy Fallon, Nick said, “As you know I am married to Priyanka. When we got married this hashtag started. I was ‘National Jiju.’ Jiju means elder sister's husband, so effectively I'm the older brother to India,” said Nick.

The show host also played a clip from the Jonas Brothers concert in India, in which Joe Jonas and Kevin Jonas introduced him as, “Jiju.”

Recently, Nick Jonas attended the wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant in Mumbai with Priyanka Chopra. In a lighthearted moment, the paparazzi cheered and called out to him “Jiju, jiju” as he posed on the red carpet with Priyanka. The term “jiju” is a playful nod to Nick being married to Bollywood superstar Priyanka Chopra.

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas got married at Umaid Bhawan Palace in 2018 and welcomed their daughter, Malti Marie, in January 2022.
