Eminent singer Jewel no more

Renowned singer Hasan Abidur Reza Jewel lost his battle with cancer and passed away on Tuesday (July 30).
He breathed his last around 11:53 am at a private hospital in the capital.
Mahibur Reza Rubel, brother of the signer confirmed the matter.
His Namaz-e-Janaza will be held at Gulshan Azad masjid. Later, he will be buried at Banani graveyard this evening, he said.
The singer was first diagnosed with liver cancer in 2011. The cancer later spread to his lungs and bones, necessitating continuous treatment in various hospitals at home and abroad.
His first album, "Kuashar Prahar," released in 1993, became an instant hit. Among his notable albums are "Amar Ache Ondhokar," "Ekta Manush," "Dekha Hobe Na," "Beshi Kichu Noy," "Bedona Shudhu Bedona," "Phirti Pothe," "Dorja Khola Bari," and "Emon Keno Holo."
