Eminent actor Prabir Mitra dies

Veteran actor Prabir Mitra passed away in a city hospital on Sunday night (January 5).
Actor Misa Sawdagar confirmed the death news to risingbd.
Facing complications from oxygen deficiency and other ailments, he was admitted to a private medical facility in the capital on December 22.
Born on August 18, 1943, in Chandina, Cumilla, Prabir Mitra spent his formative years in Old Dhaka, where his passion for acting took root.
His early exposure to theatre began during his school days, and he notably performed in "Dak Ghar", a celebrated play by Rabindranath Tagore.
Prabir Mitra first stood in front of the camera in 1969 to act in the late H. Akbar's film 'Jolchobi'.
The actor worked in around 400 films. His popular films include - Titas Ekti Nodir Nam, Jibon Trishna, Seyana, Fariad, Rakta Shapath, Charitrahin, Joy Porajoy, Fakir Maznu Shah and so on.
