Actor Kazi Asif gets bail

Staff Correspondent: Actor and model Kazi Asif Rahman has got bail in a case filed for torturing his wife over dowry.

Judge of the Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal-2 Shafiul Azam granted his bail on Wednesday.

Earlier on Monday, a tribunal sent the actor to jail in the case. The court fixed April 25 for hearing his bail petition.

On Sunday, police arrested Asif from the Airport area.

On March 3 last, Manisa Akter filed the case against the actor on charge of torturing her for dowry.

Taking cognisance of the complaint, the court had summoned Asif on the same day.
