Music producer Salim Khan passes away

Salim Khan, the proprietor of country’s largest audio production company Sangeeta, has died from coronavirus (Covid-19) infections at a hospital in the capital (Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi raji'un).
He was 55.
The music producer breathed his last at a private hospital in Dhaka around 7:00 am on Thursday (December 10) while undergoing treatment.
SK Shahed Ali Pappu, Secretary General of the MIB, an association of music producers, said Salim Khan was admitted to a private hospital in Dhaka on December 4 with coronavirus infections. On December 9, he was placed on life support as his condition deteriorated but died this morning.
“His namaj-e-janaza will be held in front of his residence in Laxmi Bazar of the capital after Asr today. Later, he will be laid to rest at Jurain Graveyard,” Pappu said.
Salim Khan established Sangeeta, one of the largest audio production companies in the country, in the 1980s. Many popular songs have been produced by the company.
