Actor Jeet tests COVID-19 positive

Bengali superstar Jeet is the latest name from Tollywood to be tested positive for COVID-19.

The popular actor, who is under home quarantine at present, took to his Twitter handle on Tuesday to announce the news.

He also requested those who have come in contact with him in the last few days to get themselves tested.

Incidentally, the actor had taken the first shot of the vaccine only recently. He even posted a picture on social media while getting vaccinated.

“I wish to inform everyone that I have tested COVID-19 positive. I have isolated myself at home and following my health consultants advice. Those who have come in contact with me in the last few days would sincerely request to get themselves tested and takecare. See you soon,” tweeted Jeet.

Ever since the second wave of the pandemic hit hard, several personalities from the entertainment industry have fallen prey to the virus. Meanwhile, the rapidly-rising infection numbers are leading to more and more deaths due to COVID-19 pandemic. With no indications yet of any slowdown in the infection rate, the increase in death count is anyone’s guess.
