Indian police fire tear gas at farmers

Thousands of protesting farmers have been marching from neighbouring states to India's capital Delhi to seek assured prices for their crops.
Police in India on Tuesday fired tear gas at hundreds of farmers and their supporters.
Security in the capital was tightened after farm unions from northern breadbasket states called for protests a day after talks with ministers aimed at securing minimum prices for a range of crops failed.
Farmers are marching to New Delhi to pressure the government to honour a 2021 promise to pay them more for crops.
This follows a similar protest in 2020, which ended with the repeal of controversial agricultural reforms.
Now the farmers have hit the streets again saying their key demands still haven't been fulfilled.
