US, British forces hit Houthi targets, 11 killed 

At least 11 people were killed as the US, British and other forces hit Houthi targets of Yemen.

According to sources, air strikes were reported in the country, including in the principal port city of Hodeidah and at Ras Issa Port.

The strikes also coincided with the start of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, a period of fasting for Muslims.

Last week, a Houthi missile killed three of a ship's crew members, marking the first fatal strike since Israel's war on Hamas in Gaza.

Houthi attacks began in November in solidarity with Palestinians and escalated despite warnings and attacks by US, British and other forces.
