Arunachal an integral part of India, not China: US

United States has declared Arunachal Pradesh as a part of India. The US State Department on Wednesday said that Arunachal Pradesh is Indian territory and we strongly oppose any unilateral attempts to advance territorial claims by incursions, reports reuters.
One side of the western part of the Himalayan Mountain region is the autonomous region of China, Tibet, on the other side is the state of Arunachal. The length of Tibet-Arunachal border is 3,000 kilometers.
China claims Aranachal Pradesh as part of southern Tibet but India is opposing that. India's foreign ministry said on Tuesday that China was making "absurd claims" over Arunachal Pradesh, adding that it will always be an "integral and inalienable part of India."
"The United States recognizes Arunachal Pradesh as Indian territory and we strongly oppose any unilateral attempts to advance territorial claims by incursion or encroachments, military or civilian across the Line of Actual Control," a State Department spokesperson said in a press briefing.
Earlier this week, Chinese Defence Ministry spokesman Senior Colonel Zhang Xiaogang said that the southern part of Xizang (the Chinese name for Tibet) is an inherent part of China's territory, and Beijing 'never acknowledges and firmly opposes' the 'so-called Arunachal Pradesh illegally established by India.’_Agencies.
