Educational institutions reopen Sunday amid heatwave

People are experiencing the blistering heat as severe heatwave is sweeping over many districts across the country. Normal life is being disrupted due to the extreme heat. No one is going out of the house without much need in the ongoing heatwave.

Under these circumstances, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) issued a 72-hour nationwide heat alert that started from Friday.

Amid the ongoing heatwave after Ramadan and Eid vacation, all educational institutions across the country will reopen on Sunday (April 21).

The Directorate of Primary and Mass Education came up with the information in a notification on Saturday.
