Biden says SC`s ruling a “dangerous precedent”

Former US President Donald Trump has been acquitted by the country's Supreme Court in some allegations. However, current President Joe Biden has expressed dissatisfaction with this court verdict, reports reuters.

On Monday (July 1), Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts announced the landmark decision on behalf of the court’s six-justice conservative majority. The court’s three liberal justices dissented.

According to the court order, “The President enjoys no immunity for his unofficial acts, and not everything the President does is official. The President is not above the law. But Congress may not criminalize the President’s conduct in carrying out the responsibilities of the Executive Branch under the Constitution.”

After the court's verdict, former President Trump wrote on social media, "This is a big victory for our democracy and constitution." I am proud to be an American.”

On the contrary, the incumbent President Joe Biden referred the verdict as a "dangerous precedent" in the history of the country's judicial system. He also commented that the Supreme Court is becoming "harmful" to the American people.

Biden said there are no kings in America. Every one of us is equal before the law. No one is above the law, not even the president of the United States._Agencies.
