Tulip Siddiq reelected

Tulip Siddiq, granddaughter of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, won from the Labour Party in the UK national election. She won in her constituency Hampstead and Highgate, UK.

She got 23, 432 votes while her nearest opponent Conservative candidate Don Williams got 8,462 votes.

Earlier, Tulip was first elected to Britain's House of Commons in May 2015 from London's Hampstead and Kilburn, and drew global attention with her maiden speech in parliament.

Tulip Siddiq is Sheikh Rehana's daughter. She was born on 16 September 1982 in London, United Kingdom.

She won the United Kingdom general election held on 7 May 2015 as the Labor Party's nominee for the London constituency of Hampstead and Kilburn.
