“The allegation that US fueled Hasina`s ouster is ridiculous”

The United States has again clarified its position on the ouster of Bangladesh's former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Principal deputy spokesperson Vedant Patel, at the department of state said briefed reporters on Tuesday (August 13).

In reply to a question regarding the former Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s allegation, he said that’s laughable. Any implication that the United States was involved in Sheikh Hasina’s resignation is absolutely false.

He also said we have seen a lot of disinformation in recent weeks, and we remain incredibly committed to strengthening information integrity across the digital ecosystem, especially with our partners in South Asia.
