Firefighter Noyon laid to rest

Firefighter Md Shoanur Zaman Noyon, who was killed by a truck while working to control the fire at the Bangladesh Secretariat, has been laid to eternal rest.

An ambulance carrying his body arrived at Mithapukur of Rangpur around 9:36pm on Thursday (December 26).

After completing namaz-e-janaza, he was buried around 11:00 pm.

Earlier on Wednesday midnight, a truck’s reckless driving caused Noyon to sustain severe injuries, including critical head trauma and heavy bleeding. He was immediately rescued by the complainant and his colleagues, with the help of bystanders, and rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital. Later, the emergency department doctors declared him dead on arrival.
