Nepal rocked by 7.1 earthquake: Tremors felt in 4 other countries
A massive 7.1 magnitude earthquake struck Nepal-Tibet border early on Tuesday. Tremors were felt in Kathmandu and Indian cities of New Delhi, Siliguri and Patna.
The quake's epicenter was located approximately 91 km (56 mi) from Lobuche, Nepal, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) noted.
Tremors were also felt in Bangladesh, Bhutan and China, reports times now.
No reports of damage have surfaced so far.
Only last month a 4.8 magnitude earthquake struck Nepal, according to the National Centre for Seismology (NCS).
Nepal lies in the collision zone of the Indian and Eurasian tectonic plates, driving the Himalayan uplift. Active fault lines like the Main Himalayan Thrust store immense stress, triggering frequent shallow earthquakes._Agencies.
