Tulip resigns as shadow minister

Risingbd Desk: British MP Tulip Siddiq has resigned as a shadow minister following Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn’s decision to back legislation paving the way for the UK's departure from the EU.

Tulip, the shadow education minister of early years, sent her resignation letter to Labour leader Corbyn on Thursday.

Corbyn has imposed a three-line whip on his MPs telling them to back the newly published bill. This orders all MPs to back the Government when the bill is debated in the House over two days next week, according to The Sun.

The European Union (Notification of Withdrawal) Bill has been produced after the Supreme Court ruled legislation would be necessary.
