32 killed in drug rehabilitation centre in Iran

A massive fire at a drug rehabilitation centre in northern Iran has killed at least 32 people and injured 16.
The fire broke out early Friday morning at the drug rehabilitation center in Langarud, a city around 125 miles northwest of capital Tehran in the Caspian Sea province of Gilan.
The center reportedly had capacity to accommodate up to 40 people and footage of the blaze shows firefighters, ambulances and other emergency personnel attending and the remains of a heavily damaged building.
The fire has now been extinguished and officials have launched an investigation to determine what caused it.
According to the United Nations Office of Drugs and Crime, Iran has one of the severest addiction problems in the world.
