At least 17 Pakistani army men were killed in three different incidents.
At least 14 soldiers were killed when terrorists attacked two vehicles carrying security forces in Gwadar, the military's media wing said Friday.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), in a statement, said that the incident occurred when the security convoy was moving from Pasni to Ormara in Gwadar district.
On Saturday morning, the Army foiled a terrorist attack on the Mianwali Training Air Base of the Pakistan Air Force, the military’s media wing said.
It further said that three alleged terrorists were “neutralised while entering the base while remaining three terrorists have been cornered/isolated due to timely and effective response by the troops”.
“However, during the attack, some damage to three already grounded aircraft and a fuel bowser also occurred,” the ISPR said.
According to Dawn report, the development comes on the heels of a series of incidents that left at least 17 soldiers killed in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
A fourth incident, another remote-controlled blast in Dera Ismail Khan, left five people dead and at least 24 injured, including police officials.
