US Embassy issues warning against fake Facebook profiles

The US Embassy in Dhaka has alerted its Facebook followers to remain aware of fake profiles.

In a notification, the embassy said this on Tuesday (November 7).

"Unmasking Cyber Spammers: Beware of Fake US Embassy Dhaka Profiles! Stay aware of these deceptive profiles on social media! They may seem official, but they're faker than a sunflower in the Arctic," the statement said.

The embassy also asked their followers not to share any personal information or engage in money-related requests if anyone has encountered any of the fake profiles.
