Passenger bus torched in capital’s Tantibazar

Unidentified miscreants torched a passenger bus at Tantibazar intersection in the capital on Wednesday evening amid the countrywide 48-hour blockade enforced by BNP-Jamaat.

The incident took place around 7:15pm when the bus of Akash Paribahan was standing due to a traffic jam.

No one was injured in the incident.

Two firefighting units of Sadarghat Fire Station rushed to the spot around 7:33 pm and brought the fire under control within 15 minutes, said fireman Moazzem Hossain.
