15th death anniversary of freedom fighter Abu Taher Bhuiyan

The 15th death anniversary of heroic freedom fighter Principal Abu Taher Bhuiyan will be observed on Sunday (November 12).

He was the ex-VP of Feni College ,the first hoister of the flag of independent Bangla in Feni, ex- president of Feni district Student League ,ex-president of Feni district Sramik League, ex-president Feni district JSD (Enu), ex-president Natun Projonmo Parishod central committee  and president of Feni Gunijon Muktijoddha Mullayan Parishod ,a journalist and columnist.

He died on this day in 2008 at Apollo Hospital in Dhaka.

He was the father of journalist and member of Awami League central subcommittee (information and research) Sajjad Hossain Chisty and writer, columnist and Assistant Professor of Notre Dame University Bangladesh Sami Hossain Chisty and government official Mayhojabin Akter Daina.

On his death anniversary, a prayer ceremony, Quran katam and feast for unprivileged people have been arranged at Rampura, Dhaka and Cumilla.

All are requested by his family members to attend the programs.
