RMG workers withdraw road block after 2 and a half hours

The readymade garment factory workers left the road in Mirpur-10 and 11 areas two and a half hours after they blocked it today demanding a hike in their wages.
Mirpur police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Mahsin said after assuring that the demands of the workers will be solved through a discussion with the owners, the workers left the road around 11:30 am.
Earlier this morning, the workers put up barricade on the road in Mirpur around 8 am demanding a hike in their salaries.
The garment workers have been protesting for several days to demand a salary hike, including a minimum monthly wage Tk23,000.
