EC to invite observers of 50 countries to monitor polls

The Election Commission (EC) will invite international observers and media persons of 50 countries to observe the upcoming parliamentary elections.

According to sources, the EC will take applications from the international observers and media persons through the ministry of foreign affairs. The last date for sending applications is November 21.

International observers and foreign media persons have already applied for monitoring the election.

The Election Commission wants foreign observers and media personnel will monitor the election as well as local observers and media personnel.

The Election Commission of Bangladesh is committed to conducting free, fair, peaceful and acceptable elections.
