BNP locked their own office: DMP Commissioner

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Habibur Rahman said BNP themselves have locked their central office in Nayapaltan although there have been no restrictions on them entering the office.

The DMP commissioner made the opinion while replying to reporters after visiting injured police officials at Sheikh Hasina National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute hospital in the capital on Tuesday (November 14).

He also said that police drive is underway to arrest against the arsonists. Such vandalism or arson cannot be acceptable in a democratic system.

The job of the police is to ensure the safety of people's lives and property. The law enforcers will play that role in the next election as well, he added.
