EC to announce election schedule this evening

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Habibul Awal will announce the schedule at 7 pm Wednesday (November 15).

Md Jahangir Alam, spokesperson for the Election Commission revealed the matter in a press conference around 10:00 am on Wednesday.

The 26th commission meeting will be held on Wednesday afternoon for the national elections. After that, the CEC will announce the schedule of the parliamentary elections. The election would be held in the first week of January.

Centering the announcement of the election schedule, tight security measures have been taken around the Election Bhaban in Agargaon.

The total number of voters in Bangladesh stood at 11,96,91,633. Of them, 6771579 are male voters while 58919202 are female voters and 852 are third gender voters.
