Water vessel services suspended due to cyclone ‘Midhili’

Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) has suspended water vessel services in all internal and long routes across the country as the cyclonic storm ‘Midhili’ is crossing the coastal areas.

BIWTA announced this on Friday morning.

Senior Information Officer of Shipping Ministry Md Jahangir Alam Khan confirmed this to risingbd.

The front part of cyclone ‘Midhili’ started crossing the Bangladesh coastal areas in Chattogram and Cox’s Bazar on Friday noon.
