Awami League responds to Donald Lu’s letter

The ruling Awami League has responded to the letter from Donald Lu, the US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs.
On Friday (November 17) evening, on behalf of the party’s General Secretary Obaidul Quader, the party’s executive member and member of the parliament from the Gulshan area, Mohammad Ali Arafat, delivered the reply.
Later, Arafat told the media, “I handed over the letter to Acting Deputy Chief of Mission on behalf of the general secretary of Awami League. What was in the letter will be informed later”.
On November 13, US ambassador Peter Haas delivered the letter to the general secretary of the Awami League.
Donald Lu wrote to Awami League, BNP, and Jatiya Party calling for unconditional dialogue ahead of the elections.
