Foreign Secretary going to India

Foreign Secretary Masood bin Momen is going to New Delhi this month at the invitation of Indian Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra.

The foreign secretary himself confirmed this to newsmen.

According to diplomatic sources, Binoy Kwatra has invited Masood bin Momen to sit in the Bangladesh-India joint consultative meeting (FOC).

Generally, FOC deals with matters of mutual interest. However, the foreign secretary’s visit to New Delhi before the upcoming national election of Bangladesh can be considered very important.

Bangladesh-India FOC was held in Dhaka in February this year.
