235 BGB platoons deployed across the country

A total of 235 platoons of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) have been deployed across the country to maintain law and order on first day of the 48-hour hartal called by BNP and like-minded opposition parties.

Shariful Islam, public relations officer (PRO) at BGB headquarters, confirmed the development on Sunday (November 19).

Besides, an adequate number of BGB platoons have been kept as standby force, he said.
