Cocktail blasted before court in capital

Miscreants have allegedly exploded cocktails in front of Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge’s Court on Monday (November 20) afternoon.

The incident of cocktail blast took place around 4 pm.

However, no casualties were reported in this connection.

Following the blast, security has been strengthened in the area.

Few moments before the cocktail blast, hearing on the bail petition of BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, now in jail, was held in a case filed over the attack on the residence of Chief Justice at Kakrail in the capital on October 28.

Additional Public prosecutor Tapas Kumar Pal of Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge’s Court confirmed the information.

Shibas Das, an eyewitness, said, “I heard cocktails blasted in front of the court with a big bang suddenly. I fled the scene with fear at that moment.”
