‘They used to send video to leaders after setting fire to buses’

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested four persons for allegedly setting fire to a bus in Kalshi area of the capital’s Mirpur. The arrestees have confessed to the RAB members that they used to send video to local top leaders after setting fire to buses and share money.
Commander Khandaker Al Moin, director of the Legal and Media Wing of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), revealed the information at a press conference held at its media center at Karwanbazar in the capital on Tuesday (November 21).
“A team of RAB-4 conducted an operation in Mirpur area of the capital on Monday (November 20) night. At that time, Al Mohammad Chan, Md. Sagar, Md. Al Amin and Md. Khorshed Alam were arrested. They are activists of an opposition political party. On the direction of local top leaders of their party, Chan planned to set fire to buses in the surrounding areas of Mirpur and Pallabi in the capital”, he said.
"RAB's vigilance to identify and bring to book those involved in the activities of arson and sabotage by analyzing CCTV and video footage published on social media and other information will continue," he said.
