8 more die of dengue, 1084 hospitalised

Eight more dengue patients died across the country in the past 24 hours till Tuesday (November 21), raising the number of fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease to 1,562.

According to a statement of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), a total of 1,084 new dengue patients were hospitalized over the period.

Of the new cases, 221 are undergoing treatment at different hospitals in Dhaka and 863 are undergoing treatment at various hospitals outside Dhaka.

With the new cases, the total number of patients rose to 3,03,536, the statement said.
