75 BNP men including Jahangir jailed

A Dhaka court has sentenced 25 BNP men including Juba Dal leader SM Jahangir to two years and six months in jail in a sabotage case.

Dhaka Metropolitan Additional Magistrate Md Hasibul Haq pronounced the verdict on Thursday.

During the pronouncement of the verdict, SM Jahangir, Shahabuddin Sagar and Shah Alam were brought to the court from jail. As the other 72 persons are absconding, the court issued arrest warrants along with sentencing warrants against them.

The case was filed with Uttra East Thana in 2013.
