EC approves transfer of more 48 UNOs

The Election Commission has approved the transfer of 48 upazila nirbahi officers (UNOs) of different upazilas in a bid to hold the January 7 general election in a free and fair manner.

Senior officers of the Election Commission confirmed this on Thursday (December 7).

On November 30, the EC asked the Home Affairs Ministry and the Public Administration Ministry to transfer the OCs and UNOs across the country.
