2nd parcel of IMF loans: Decision to be finalized today

Bangladesh's proposal to get the second parcel of the International Monetary Fund 's $681 million loan has been paced for approval. Regarding the issue, IMF board meeting will be held at its office in Washington at 9:00pm on Tuesday (Bangladesh time).
If the proposal is approved, the second installment of the loan will be released.
Earlier, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) disbursed $476.27 million to Bangladesh as the first instalments of $4.7 billion loan in February this year.
On January, the International Monetary Fund approved a $4.7 billion loan for Bangladesh to support the country's economic policies.
The first instalment came in February, followed by six equal instalments. The interest rate of the loan is about 2.2 percent.
