Dec 14 to be declared as national day: AKM Mozammel Haque

Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque said December 14, the Martyred Intellectuals Day will be declared as a national day this year.

The minister said this after paying tribute to the martyred intellectuals in Mirpur on Thursday (December 14).

He said it’ll be enlisted as a national day in the next Cabinet meeting.

In reply to a question, AKM Mozammel Haque also said that we had attended a meeting yesterday in this regard. We hope it will be completed before the March 26.

Regarding making a list of war criminals, he said, "We have a number. They are being tried if there is a specific complaint. But the number of Razakars and Al-Badr members is high. Not all of them have been prosecuted. Under the leadership of Shajahan Khan, Chairman of Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Liberation War A committee has been formed to prepare the list of these war criminals.”
