Two Dhaka-bound flights diverted to Kolkata due to fog

Two international flights bound for Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka were diverted to Kolkata due to dense fog.
Group Captain Mohammad Kamrul Islam, executive director at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport said no international flights could land at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) for nearly seven hours from 12:00am to 7:00am.
Later, two flights landed at Kolkata airport. Then the diverted flights started to return to the Dhaka airport from 8:00am when the weather became normal.
Earlier on December 11, ten passenger flights and a cargo flight were redirected to Kolkata, Kuala Lumpur, Delhi and Bangkok.
