34 including Nirob jailed

A total of 14 activists and leaders of BNP including former President of Juba Dal Saiful Islam Nirob has been sentenced to two years and six months in jail in a sabotage case filed with Tejgaon police station.

In another case, filed with Banani Thana, a total of 20 activists and leaders of BNP have been sentenced to one year and nine months in jail.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mosharrof Hossain pronounced the verdict on Thursday (December 14).

The sabotage case was filed with Tejgaon Thana in 2013 and another case was filed with Banani Thana in 2018.
