Bangladesh always gets highest priority from India: Verma

Indian High Commissioner to Dhaka Pranay Verma has said Bangladesh always gets highest priority from his country as it has a policy for its neighbouring countries.

The Indian high commissioner came up with the remark at a discussion marking the Martyred Intellectuals Day on Thursday.

Sampriti Bangladesh, a platform for prominent citizens, organized the discussion at Dhaka Gallery at Banani in the city.

“India has a policy for its neighbouring countries. In this regard, Bangladesh has the highest priority.  And Bangladesh ranks first in India’s priority list among neighboring countries. India is committed to Bangladesh’s development cooperation”, he said.
