Jamaat also calls dawn-to-dusk hartal on Monday

After BNP’s announcement, Jamaat-e-Islami has also called a countrywide dawn-to-dusk hartal for Monday (December 18).

Acting Secretary General of the party Maulana ATM Masum made the announcement in a statement on Saturday evening.

Earlier, BNP called a countrywide dawn-to-dusk hartal for Monday (December 18), demanding resignation of the ruling Awami League government and holding the next general election under a neutral caretaker administration.

BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi made the announcement at a virtual press briefing on Saturday (December 16).

According to the announcement, the hartal will start at 6:00am on Monday and will end in the evening.
